I have always had a set of long-term and rather challenging goals. Education has always been something extremely important to me and I have set high expectations for myself.
I am nearest of achieving my goal of graduating from high school and will be the one to open the doors to further and higher forms of education. I will soon be able to scratch high school off of my goals list and face the real challenge that awaits me, but I am not afraid to go on and will gladly accept it. I am now ready to face college and go forth to achieve my remaining goals. College is now my priority goal and will be for these few years to come, but college is a complex goal with various strings attached. In college I want to obtain a degree in psychology and later on continue to get a masters and a Doctor of Psychology degree to become a clinical psychologist. I chose a major in psychology because the human mind is fascinating, unique, yet the same in a strange way. With a major in psychology I will not only be able to understand how the brain works and how certain chemical imbalances affects us to think and react but I will be able to help others with my knowledge and experience. I will be able to talk to a person who needs my help and reassure them that I truly do understand them and care about them. I believe that my purpose on this earth is to help others, and having an education in psychology will help me with my dream of becoming a clinical psychologist and helping alleviate others with their struggles.
Achieving my goals may take a while, but I am determined to tackle whatever may come my way. It will be a continuous process, but it will be one that will be worth every minuscule second.
